Wout started his career as a litigation attorney in 2012, putting into practice his enormous professional and personal involvement towards social, environmental, and human rights related legal issues. Throughout the years, thanks to his heart for the protection of the vulnerable and due to his participation in several human rights related “fact-finding-missions” in Latin America, he developed a high level of knowledge and expertise in the field of international human rights and environmental law.
Wout speaks Dutch, English, German, French and Spanish and has been the president of the Latin America focus group of Dutch non-profit organization Lawyers for Lawyers for more than eight years. He is also one of the founders and board members of the Dutch section of the UK based organization Caravana de Juristas a Colombia, and member of the FBE Human Rights Commission. Wout is the leading attorney in the case of the family and organization of the assassinated Berta Caceres against Dutch development bank FMO for lack of their duty to care in the financing of the Agua Zarca dam project.
Wout is subscribed at the Amsterdam bar and the Dutch bar, and has as registered areas administrative and civil law including civil procedure.
Adil is a member of the Caravana Internacional de Juristas and the Alianza Mundial de Mandatorios y Líderes Africanos y Afrodescendientes, both NGO’s founded for the protection of human rights.
Ron holds a master’s degree in Dutch private law (graduated in 2013), is fluent in Dutch, English and Spanish, and is a member of the Latin America focus group of Dutch non-profit organization Lawyers for Lawyers.
